I just make sure that I can use one of the output channels of ISO7740 as the circuit return (see below). It is for turning ON/OFF a MOSFET gate drive chip and D1 is an emulated diode inside the gate drive chip.

If the current sourcing and sinking is under the datasheet recommended operations then it shouldn't be an issue. Please find below a table that lists out the recommended output source/sink current for given supply voltages. As long as these conditions are met, there shouldn't be any issues in operation or reliability. Thanks.
