ISO7231C: ISO7231CDW

Part Number: ISO7231C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO6731,

Hello,

I was trying to verify this part as an alternate and came across this datasheet section, it only shows the quiescent current as 11mA (max) and 17mA at 25Mbps.

My question is: how to find the supply current at 9Mbps or anything under the 25Mbps?

Thanks

  • Hi Hassan,

    Thanks for reaching out.

The device has been characterized for the datarates specified in the datasheet, i.e., at 0 Mbps and 25 Mbps. We do not have characterization data for 9 Mbps but we expect it to be between 11mA and 17mA, as you would have already guessed.

Sorry that I couldn't provide you with the data you were looking for, let me know if you have any other questions.

ISO7231C is one of older family of devices, we recommend you to use our latest digital isolator family device ISO6731 that offers much better performance. The ISO6731 datasheet also provides you with ICC1 value for 10 Mbps datarate as 4.8mA max (datasheet screenshot below) which is much lower than ISO7231C quiescent current. Thanks.
