Hi Team,
Excuse me, why does the UL of ISO7720 only have Single protection?
According to the TUV certificate, it should be able to satisfy Double. thanks.

Hi Rock,
All of TI's isolation devices have UL 1577 Single Protection rating. Additionally, many of our devices have Reinforced rating according to many IEC standards per VDE, CSA, TUV, and CQC.
Please note that UL 1577 single and double protection criteria is different from IEC basic and reinforced protection criteria. I think you may be mixing up Double protection with Reinforced insulation. UL 1577 double protection requires 20 kV discharge testing that we currently don't do. The main criteria for reinforced insulation per IEC 60747-17 is 10 kV surge test that many of our devices pass.
Thanks,
Saleem Marwat
