ISO7842: Number of reflow times

Hello team,

I have a question from the customer.

Is there a limit to the number of times ISO7842DWW can be reflowed? The customer is asking if it is possible to reflow twice.
I have confirmed that the data sheet states that the peak reflow temperature is 260°C.

Hello Masa,

Thank you for your question. 2 times should not affect the device as long as peak reflow temperature is not exceeded.

There is a related E2E post, and app note that go into more detail. The app note states that "IC packages are classified according to J-STD-020 and withstand three reflow cycles" (Section 5: MSL Ratings and Reflow Profiles).
