Hello,

Could somebody point to info how to measure actual V-t product of arbitrary transformer?  Say if we wind transformer on some core how do we verify that it has suitable V-t product value?

    Thanks for reaching out.

    V-t product of a transformer is calculated using the transformer parameters or can also be expressed using saturation current. Verifying the V-t product value by testing might not be the best approach but you can do so by saturating the transformer. To do so, you can apply a rectangular waveform across the transformer and vary either the voltage or the frequency to find out at what value the transformer saturates.
