Risk Assesment for Changing from ISO7720QDWRQ1 to ISO7720FQDWRQ1

Since TI has supply issue of ISO7720QDWRQ1 to Jabil, TI proposed alternative ISO7720FQDWRQ1, we'd like to invite TI engineer to do the Risk Assesment for Changing from ISO7720QDWRQ1 to ISO7720FQDWRQ1.

  • Hello,

Thank you for posting on E2E. The only difference between the ISO7720QDWRQ1 and ISO7720FQDWRQ1 is the default output mode, which is indicated by the presence or absence of "F" in the part number. The ISO7720QDWRQ1 has a default output of high and the ISO7720FQDWRQ1 has a default output of low. The risk presented by this change is dependent on your specific application and will need to be evaluated by your team to determine if it is acceptable or not. You can reference the Device Functional Modes section of the datasheet for more information on when the device will enter the default output mode.

    Regards,
    Darrah
