TIDA-010232: Use in EV monitoring

Part Number: TIDA-010232
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-01513,

Hi, I was looking at the TIDA-010232 reference design and saw that it is proposed as a solution for EV charging stations, whereas TIDA-01513 is proposed as a monitoring device for EVs.

However, although they present two different approaches to resistance measurement, would it be possible to use TIDA-010232 for monitoring of EV battery pack isolation? Or is there something critical I am overlooking?

This doubt arises as I have seen some scientific papers propose a similar approach to the one described in TIDA-010232.

Any input would be highly appreciated.

  • Hi Daniel,

Thanks for reaching out. TIDA-010232 is designed for monitoring Isolation on EV Charging station side, but this approach will also work for the monitoring of the EV battery pack.
All the key parts used in TIDA-010232 are also available in automotive grade versions.

    Best regards,

    Andreas
