ISO1042-Q1: ISO1042-Q1 - TX pull up resistor value

Hi,

We are using the CAN IC ISO1042-Q1 in our design. In datasheet, it is recommended to add an external pull-up resistor at TX line. can you please let us know what is the recommended resistor value for pull-up at the earliest as we are releasing our design for prototype development in a while.

Hi Smitha,

Pull-up resistor on TXD pin is not needed unless the pin is floating. If one wishes to add a pull-up resistor, then one can go through the app note Choosing an Appropriate Pull-up/Pull-down Resistor for Open Drain Outputs (ti.com) to calculate the pull-up resistor value.
