ISO6761: output logic

Part Number: ISO6761

Hi We are using this ISO6761DWR one of our product.,

We are using one more programmer device in parallel (either one connect at a time),

Other programmer used from IAR I-JET programmer , This is Always high state in normal.

My query is since  the IAR I-JET is high state in normal, at the time accessing the  ISO6761DWR  line in low state (providing low logic at input) will it consider as Logic Low ? because other one (IAR I-JET) in high logic in normal.

Is ISO6761DWR  is totem pole output type ?

  • Hello,

    Thank you for your response!

Yes, the ISO6761DWR is a totem pole (push-pull) output type.

In regards to the IAR I-JET programmer device, here are some questions:

    1. Is there an internal pull-up resistor? if so, what is the value of the resistor?
    2. Is the programmer driving the signal or is it monitoring the state of the signal from the isolator?

    Regards,

    Aaditya Vittal

  • Thanks for your reply,

No clear idea about the internal pull-up resistor might be 4.7K to 10K, (digging the details).

the programmer is sourcing the signal to the MCU,

our query is while sourcing the signal from programmer to MCU (signal name is TDI/TDO) our ISO6761DWR  is normally high state, while programmer start its operation (TDO/TDI toggling) when this goes to low state the current is sinking from the ISO6761DWR  device i guess, Unless the sink current less than 2mA everything ok .

Please correct me if something wrong.

    Thanks

  • Hello,

    Thank you for the information.

The two logic outputs from the isolator and the IAR I-JET should not be connected to each other as this could cause both devices to be damaged. You will have to use a multiplexer or some other means in order to have 2 logic outputs into a single input to the MCU.

I was not able to to understand what the questions was clearly. Would you please clarify your question again?
