ISOUSB211: TI solution for USB2.0

Part Number: ISOUSB211
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISOUSB111

Hi,

I would like to ask you about TI's solutions of USB2.0.

As far as I reserched, the only device for USB2.0 with isolation seems to be ISOUSB211.

Is my idea correct?

Or if you know any other solutions to realize USB2.0 isolation, please let me know.

And let me ask you one question about Vbus of ISOUSB211.

This is for just making internal power of the device, not for power deliverly.

Is my understanding correct?

Thank you for your support.

Best Regards,

Takumi

  • Hi Takumi-san,

    Thank you for reaching out.

USB 2.0 supports 3 speeds LS, FS and HS. To support USB 2.0 HS or all three speeds, ISOUSB211 is the right device to choose but if only LS/FS are needed, then ISOUSB111 can be used. Please do check with customer what speed they require and propose ISOUSB111 or ISOUSB211 accordingly.

And let me ask you one question about Vbus of ISOUSB211.

Yes, the VBUS pins are the input supply pins of ISOUSB devices. These pins require external voltage be applied to power the ISOUSB device. Thanks.
