Can we short primary GND and secondary GND if we don't need isolation?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your question.

    Yes, your understanding is correct. The GND pins on both sides of the ISO7721-Q1 can be shorted in order to bypass the isolation barrier.

    The main function of the ISO7721-Q1 is to provide isolation. if isolation is not required, then this device is not needed.
