Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO6721R, ISO6721
Hi,
Whats the difference between ISO6721RB-Q1 and ISO6721B-Q1
It seems non R version is reinforced isolation, so why R version is not reinforced? What does the R stand for so?
Thanks,
Antonio

Hello,
Thank you for your question.
The "B" in ISO6721RB-Q1 signifies the Basic and Reinforced devices. So if there is a "B" then it is basic insulation. if there is no "B", then it is reinforced insulation.
The "R" in ISO6721RB-Q1 is related to the positioning of the pins. As you can see in the images below, the INA, OUTA, INB, and OUTB pin positioning is flipped for the ISO6721 vs the ISO6721R:
The two devices have the same number of channels in similar directions. They only difference in the position of those channels. ISO6721R is developed to enable P2P replacement for some existing competition devices which follow such pin-out. Otherwise, there is no difference between the two devices.
