ISO1228: nRST role and MCU connection

Hello,

I would like to understand the role of nRST.

According to the datashset, this reset is only required when BRST pin is toggled.
Does it has any other role?
If the user doesn't change BRST_EN,  is it OK to just pull up nRST pin?

Because of the MCU's pin account restriction, they can't use so many pins for ISO1228 connection.
I understand that SDO, SDI, SCLK and nCS have to be connected in SPI mode. But ohter pins, like BURST_EN, NRST, nINT, nFAULT, SYNC are option.
Is this understanding correct?

Regards,
Oba
