ISO6721-Q1: - Ta, abs.max

Part Number: ISO6721-Q1

Tool/software:

Dear all,

is the Tj,max<150°C condition (in the abs.max. section of the datasheet) enough to guarantee that the ISO6721-Q1 works in safe conditions, no matter what Ta we have?

Thank you very much in advance

Best regards

  • Hi Alex,

    Thank you for your question.

The junction temperature is not a parameter that can directly be applied externally, rather it can only be calculated based on other test conditions. Therefore, junction temperature only has absolute maximum range defined. Even during device operation, this is the same range that a user should refer and limit the device use such that junction temperature doesn't exceed absolute maximum limit.

The recommended operating conditions is the conditions we recommend in order to maintain the guaranteed operation of the device. The absolute maximum ratings are the maximum conditions that guarantee the survival of the device. Beyond the absolute maximum ratings, the device can get damaged and not operate as per the datasheet specifications.
