ISOW7842: ISOW7842DWER

Part Number: ISOW7842
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO7841

Tool/software:

In this image a RC circuit is connected to 7th pin (i.e.: NC) which is not mentioned in data sheet, and I have also seen this same circuit in forum. kindly let me know the technical reason behind this circuit.

  • With R2020 = 0, pin 7 is treated like another supply pin.

But it's NC. Where does this schematic come from?

  • Hi Nisha,

    Thank You for reaching out.

Not sure where you got this schematic from but let me state that the ISOW784x family of devices do not require any supply or filter on Pin7 for any functionality or better performance.

That being said, my current guess is that whosoever made this circuit might have duplicated external components from ISO7841, for which Pin7 in EN1 and needs to be high, as you can see the resistance is 0ohm. This is a guess.

You can go ahead without connecting anything on NC for your design application.
