ISO6521: Level shifting needed for a MCU ADC ?

Part Number: ISO6521

Tool/software:

Hi,

I am using this digital isolator to send the fan PWM signal and receive the Fan_Tach signal in a Fan used in a Dual Active Bridge.

I am sending the PWM signal from my MCU, which needs to be 5V, while the Fan_Tach signal is 5V. However, my MCU ADC pins can handle a maximum of 3.3V. I am powering the digital isolator with 3.3V on one side and 5V on the other.

Given the voltage level mismatch, do I need to use a level shifter, or is level shifting unnecessary because the digital isolator is powered with both 3.3V and 5V?
