ISO7340-Q1: ISO7340-Q1 NC Terminal

Hello,

Please answer following question from customer.

Customer wants to mount ISO7340-Q1 and another isolator on same pattern by case by case.

So, they connect some signal to pin 7(NC terminal of ISO7340-Q1).

Pin Function table of datasheet page 4 said following.

NC: No connect pins are floating with no internal connection

- Does this mean that pin 7 is completely no connection internally?

- Is this no problem to connect any signal to NC terminal (pin 7)?

Toshio Ushikubo,

As mentioned in datasheet, the NC pin has no internal connection and is left open.
What is other IC that customer is planning to use in place of ISO7340-Q1? and what signal is present at pin 7?

I could not here competitor parts number.

Customer connect 5V PS to ISO7340-Q1 NC Terminal.

Could you please advise if there any concern?

There should be no issues if NC pin is connected to 5V PSU.
