ISO7231C: ISO7231C / output lock at short input period?

Part Number: ISO7231C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO7331C

Hi,

I found that ISO723xA family has anomaly operation at short input period like 1usec as attached. Now I'd like to know if ISO7231C has also this anomaly operation or it's fixed at ISO7231C. I'm asking this because ISO7231C's datasheet does not have such information.

Best Regards,

  • Hi Satoshi,

ISO723xA is a very old part and we do not recommend using it for new designs.
ISO7231C does not have this problem and is designed to operate at much higher speeds.

If you are targeting basic isolation, I would recommend going with the ISO7331C instead of the ISO7231C.
The ISO7331C is an improved design which is more robust to EMC events than the ISO7231C.
