RF Immunity

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLE2141-Q1, TLE2141

Hi,

We are designing a custom board. We need to meet IEC/EN 61000-4-3 (RF Immunity).

Can anyone share special criteria required for component selection and suggestions to consider while designing?

  • Hello Sraman,

There are many resources on TI's web that can assist you.
One of these is TI Training.

    https://training.ti.com/search-catalog?keywords=IEC%2FEN+61000-4-3&start%5Bdate%5D=&end%5Bdate%5D=

This will show training topics related to the  IEC specification.

EMI immunity is platform specific, components, layout.
You may find information in device product folders.|
    Here is an example.

TLE2141 and TLE2141-Q1 EMI Immunity Performance
    http://www.ti.com/lit/an/sboz026b/sboz026b.pdf

    "EMI Rejection Ratio (EMIRR)

The electromagnetic interference (EMI) rejection ratio, or EMIRR, describes the EMI immunity of
operational amplifiers (op amps). An adverse effect that is common to many op amps is a change in the
offset voltage as a result of RF signal rectification. An op amp that is more efficient at rejecting this change
in offset as a result of EMI has a higher EMIRR and is quantified by a decibel value."

So there are many ways to find information in the TI web.
