ISO7720: Is “ISO7720FDWVR” compliant with IEC60747-5-5?

Dear Team, 

Is  TI  “ISO7720FDWVR”  compliant with IEC60747-5-5 ?   We don’t see it in the datasheet.  It matters to medical safty certificaiton for entire system. Thanks.

    Hi Molly,

    IEC 60747-5-5 is a component level standard that is only applicable for optoelectronic devices including photocouplers as shown below. This edition of the standard was published in year 2007 and has not been replaced yet with newer editions. Currently there is no similar component level IEC standard for capacitive isolators.

    There is an equivalent VDE standard VDE 0884-11 that contains all requirements of IEC 60747-5-5 and also includes stress tests for lifetime prediction. All our TI isolators are already certified to VDE 0884-11.
