ISOW7841: About safty standards

Hello support team,

I have some questions about safety standards of ISOW784x series.

Our customer is considering whether to use ISOW7841 as a replacement for photocouplers.
The customer hopes that ISOW7841 satisfies the standards that is equivalent to the photocoupler safety standard IEC60747-5-5.

[Question]
1. Does ISOW784x satisfy the standard equivalent to IEC 60747-5-5?
2. If so, what is the standard number?

    Hi Tachibana-san,

    Please find below my inputs.

    1. Yes, ISOW784x is certified to an isolation standard that is similar to IEC 60747-5-5.
    2. The equivalent standard for digital isolators is VDE 0884-11. This standard is considered more stringent than IEC 60747-5-5 as it also includes TDDB lifetime test requirement in addition to many other tests from IEC 60747-5-5.

    In addition to complying to VDE standard, ISOW784x also complies to other standards from many other standard organizations like CSA, UL, CQC & TUV. Please do check the datasheet for more details related to these standards. Thanks.
