    Hi Alex,

    ISOW7821 is a digital isolator (with integrated DC/DC converter) whose input / output voltage levels are as per digital CMOS logic. An RS-232 transceiver can be used along with ISOW7821 to achieve isolated RS-232 solution. Please refer to the below reference design that implements RS-232 using ISOW7842. The design uses ISOW7842 to implement 2T2R while for 1T1R, ISOW7821 would be sufficient. Let us know if you have any questions, thanks.
