Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN6505B, , SN6501
SN6505A's efficiency is 3% or lower when temperature is +25 degrees Celsius compared to -40 degrees Celsius and +85 degrees Celsius. SN6505B shows the same features in the same conditions.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for posting to E2E! Efficiency in SN6501 and SN6505 systems is typically defined by the transformer. Have you conducted these measurements with different transformer part numbers?
Thank you,
Manuel Chavez
Hi Mike,
Hopefully all is well. I've taken efficiency measurements of the SN6505A EVM at -40dC, +25dC, and +85dC.As shown below, efficiency at +25dC is highest overall, so behavior in the original post might be system-specific.
Which problems is the change in efficiency causing? Under which conditions? If possible, please feel free to share a BOM or schematic for component-specific analysis.
Best,
Manuel Chavez
