ISO7021: Does the isolator operate with supply voltages between 1.89 V and 2.24 V?

Part Number: ISO7021

The Data sheet specifies the operation between either 1.71 V to 1.89 V or 2.25 V to 5.5 V.   Is gap from 1.90 V to 2.24 V just because there is no electrical characterization data or because the device will not function in that range?    Section 7.17 has parameter tPU indicates there is an UVLO. Is the UVLO always below 1.70V?

Thank you,

  • Hi Keith,

Sorry about the confusion here. The device is going to operational in the voltage range from 1.71V to 5.5V but the characterization of device is only done at 1.8V±5%, 2.5V±10%, 3.3V±10%, 5V±10%. Like you have mentioned, the UVLO voltage will be lower than 1.71V.

I hope this clarifies your doubt, thanks.
