ISO7763-Q1: Functional Block Diagram

Part Number: ISO7763-Q1

Hi TI-team

My customer have question.

1.Is there a document for each circuit in the function block diagram below ?
・OOK Modulation
・Emissions Reduction Techniques + Oscillator
・TX Signal Conditioning
・SiO2 based Capacitive Isolation Barrier
・RX Signal Conditioning
・Envelope Detection
What kind of waveform will each be when a square wave with noise is input ?
What kind of waveform will each be when a square wave without noise is input ?
please tell me.
Best Regards,
Koji Hayashi
  • Hi Koji-san,

Since all the blocks shown in the above block diagram are common function blocks, not a lot is described about them in the datasheet. Please refer to the below Digital Isolator Design Guide that explains the OOK architecture in brief.

I am also copying below the functional block diagram with indicative waveform shown at the output of all the relevant blocks. Please note that, if there is noise at the input signal which is <100MHz in frequency then it falls under valid data. This noise will pass through the device just like a valid data. If there is noise that is >100MHz in frequency then it cannot enter the device because the device input bandwidth is 100MHz only.

Let me know if you have any questions, thanks.
