ISO7041: The ISO7041 version question

Part Number: ISO7041

Dear Sir, /Ms,

In the Chinese version of the webpage, there two versions for ISO7041, https://www.ti.com.cn/product/cn/ISO7041

Chinese version B:  wide power supply voltage range: 2.25V to 5.5V",

English  version D:  updated to wide power range: 1.71 V to 1.89 V and 2.25 V to 5.5 V

I would like to confirm which will be the following versions in the future?
And according to the description of spec, it means that if the design would be worked in TA -55 ~ 125 degrees, the VCC1 & VCC2 just can be designed between 1.71V to 5.5V range.

Thank you and best regards

Rock Shao

  • Hi Rock,

Thank you for posting to E2E and bringing this to our attention.

I believe version D of the data sheet is the most accurate,  but please allow us to verify the reason for this discrepancy and which version is correct for the future.

We will post a follow up reply in the next 1 - 2 business days.

    Respectfully,

    Manuel Chavez

  • Hi Rock,

As we make changes to the datasheet, the revision of datasheet also gets updated and as you have noticed Revision D is the latest. The revision history in the second page also describe what are changes done in datasheet from one revision to another.

You can see that Revision D adds support for 1.8V operation in addition to its original 2.25V to 5.5V operation. Please also note that, ISO7041 doesn't support 1.8V operation for ambient temperatures >105C as already shown in the image that you have shared. Thus the following points apply,

    1. If TA = -55C to 105C,
      1. Then VCC1 and VCC2 can be anywhere between 1.71V to 1.89V or 2.25V to 5.5V.
    2. If TA = -55C to 125C,
      1. Then VCC1 and VCC2 can be anywhere between 2.25V to 5.5V.

Please note that the voltage between 1.89V to 2.25V is not support by ISO7041 under any ambient temperature or other operating conditions. Thanks.
