ISO7762-Q1: ISO7762-Q1

Part Number: ISO7762-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO7762

Hi Team,

In part# ISO7762-Q1, Can I have VCC1 as 3.3V & VCC2 as 5V or both the supply should be the same.

What should be the Gap between traces to Achieve the Isolation.

  • Hi Anuraj:

Thanks for posting your questions on E2E.

Yes, your supply configuration works with all TI isolators. You can find more information on this topic from the link below.

There may be requirements on the isolation creepage and clearance from the end equipment industry standards that your designing to. I'd recommend that you refer to these standards for exact requirements.

For a generic layout guideline, you may refer to the layout example in the ISO7762-Q1 datasheet. In addition, you may download the layout design files of the EVM from the link below.

  • Thanks for the replay.

May I know what will be the output status if input and its corresponding Supply is available as shown below. Other side supply is off.

VCC1 is 5V, VCC2 is 3.3V and it is OFF. Input 5V is given to INE pin. What will be the output OUTE?

Do we need to provide and pull up or pull down option?

  • Hi Anuraj,

Please refer to the function table of ISO7762 in section 8.4 of the datasheet (also copied below). The table defines status of output for all input conditions, this should answer your question. Thanks.
