ISOW7841: About CTI Certificates

Hello experts,

I would like to get a certificate from a certification body for CTI.

I asked UL about insulation distances and was told that they would not accept CTI ≥ 600 without a certification from a certifying body regarding CTI.

Then the material group classification would be III instead of I.

    Thanks for reaching out.
    I do not think we get separate certifications for CTI specifically. ISOW7841 has isolation rating certificates from 5 different certifications bodies (VDE, UL, CQC, TUV, CSA). Some of these certificates also referred to CTI of 600. I believe these certificates should be sufficient for UL to accept ISOW7841 for CTI of 600.
