How to implement CAN with Digital isolator based on ISOW784x series
Hi Yaseen,
Thank you for reaching out.
Since ISOW7841 is only a digital isolator, it only accepts and outputs CMOS logic digital signals. It can be used with a CAN transceiver to achieve an isolated CAN solution. Please refer to TIDA-00893 reference design that implements isolated CAN solution using ISOW7841 and a CAN transceiver.
I have also provided a link to an application note describing on how to choose an isolated CAN solution and another link to CAN transceivers page on TI website.

ISOW7841 is our first generation device with integrated DC-DC converter, we now have our second generation device, the ISOW7741. I would recommend you to use ISOW7741 which offers significant improvement overall specifically on radiated emissions performance. Thanks.

Hi Yaseen,
I believe TCAN1042 is only a transceiver working in the physical layer and doesn't facilitate any software related protocols. Protocols need to be implemented in the MCUs working in the MAC layer.
For a more accurate answer on CAN transceivers, please post your CAN transceiver question in "Interface Forum" at the link below.
