Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISOW7841, ISO7741-Q1, , ISO7741
Hi experts,
Could you please let me know what is the means of suffix 'A'? Functional safety? If yes, does it means any difference in electrical performance or features?
Thank you!
John

Hi John,
The letter 'A' in the part number doesn't mean anything specific, this was added to differentiate between the industrial grade and automotive grade devices.
Let's consider ISO7741 for example, the devices ISO7741 and ISO7741-Q1 are exactly the same devices and hence the same part numbers. The additional suffix Q1 is to indicate the device has gone through additional automotive specific qualifications. On the same lines, ISOW7841 and ISOW7841A-Q1 are not exactly the same devices where the ISOW7841A-Q1 has minor internal improvements for protections which do not alternate any electrical specifications.
For all practical purposes, you can consider ISOW7841 and ISOW7841A-Q1 to be the same from datasheet point of view. I hope this answers your question, thanks.
