ISO1050: ISO1050 communication questions

Part Number: ISO1050

Hello,

Our customer met the questions about the ISO1050 communication.

He sent the standard frame: there are 8 bytes data behind 0x03 0x51, but he couldn't receive the data.

While he sent the extender frame: there are 8 bytes data behind 0x18 0x10 0xFA ox01 0x00 0x00 0x00.

He could receive the data successfully.

So he asked how to receive the standard frame?

Best regards

Kailyn

  • Hi Kailyn,

Thank you for posting to E2E! This is usual behavior, and it might be due to a system-level mismatch. Please ask our customer to provide oscilloscope waveforms of the CANH/CANL lines of ISO1050 as well as the TX and RX lines on the same oscilloscope screen. Images of these waveforms during standard frame communication and the extender frame communication will help us understand if there are any differences on the device-level.

Have other ISO1050 units been tested?

    Thank you,
    Manuel Chavez

  • Hi Kailyn,

Please ensure the CAN controller is compatible with this system. This behavior seems to come from the communication pattern itself, not from the ISO1050.

    Thank you,
