ISO7762-Q1: Can I replace ISO7762 directly with ISO7762-Q1?

Part Number: ISO7762-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO7762,
Hi!

We use ISO7762 in projects and are evaluating its replacement when needed by ISO7762-Q1.
From what we evaluated in the documentation, we found differences
only minor differences that apparently would not affect the functioning.
So, we would like to confirm that they are really compatible with each other in an application that does not exceed the limits of ISO7762.

Thank you!
  • Hi Evandro,

    Thanks for reaching out.

ISO7762 and ISO7762-Q1 use the exact same die and the difference lies in the testing and qualification they go through. The reason for datasheet specification differences, though minimal, between the two devices is for the fact that the Q1 qualified device needs to have lower DPPM levels and higher margins in-line with AEC-Q100 requirements.

Thus, ISO7762 can always be replaced with ISO7762-Q1 without any issues. Thanks.
