ISO7221C: Insulation specification

Part Number: ISO7221C

Hello Team,


I have 2 questions.

(1)Which of the following is the type of insulation of ISO7221C?

     a) basic insulation

     b) double insulation

     c) reinforced insulation


(2)What is the insulation distance of "ISOLATION CAPACITOR"?
    Is it spec below?
      - DTI(Distance through the insulation) : 0.008mm(min)

    Hi Kato,

    Below are the answers to your questions:

    1) ISO7221C belongs to Basic Isolation family.

    2) You are correct, the the insulation distance will be the DTI value specified in datasheet, Distance through insulation (DTI) is the smallest
    distance between the two voltage domains in the isolator internal to the isolation package.
