SN6505A: About disorder of switching issue

Part Number: SN6505A

Hi,

Switching disturbance of D1/D2 is occurring on customer's board.
Could you check the attached file?

SN6505A.pdf

Is there a possibility that On time is doubled or shortened due to noise?
I would like your advice on this issue.

Best Regards,
Yusuke

  • Yusuke -san,

I haven't seen this before and I have not heard of noise affecting the on-time. I see in the included PDF that current starts to ripple after the on-time anomaly. Does any event in the system occur at the same time of the anomaly such as the addition of extra load? Do you know the ambient temperature that the system is operating in? Also, would you be able to provide a schematic? This would help me view other components that may be influencing this behavior.

    Respectfully,

    Lucas Schulte

  • Lucas-san,

    Thank you for your response.

→I'll check it and get back to you.

By the way, If the noise is applied to the VCC or CLK pin, do you happen is such a phenomenon?

I would like to send the customer schematic to you.

  • Yusuke-san,

I have emailed you a request for the schematics. At this time we will continue to investigate the issue and post the resolution on e2e.

    Respectfully,
    Lucas Schulte
  • Yusuke-san, all,

TI is reviewing schematics and measurements provided for this case. Potential solutions are in discussion and will be posted once resolved.

    Thank you,
