ISO1500: ISO1500 vs ISO3082

Hello,

my customer is planning to switch from ISO3082 to ISO1500. He sees that ISO1500 has a higher speed capabiliity. The speed at which this IC will be set is 4800bits per second. The question is, is the switching behavior different between this 2 ICs at low speed functionality? Is there a comparison between this 2 ICs at around the speed that hehas mentioned? their customer wants to be sure that this newer IC functions as good as the last one.

The ISO1500 does not come in the DW package and would not be pin to pin compatable with the ISO3082. Performance would be similar with the ISO1500 but consume a little less power. Have you considered the ISO1410? It would be pin to pin compatible and is still faster than the ISO3082.

Hi Lucas,

thanks for your response. Did i get it right that the ISO1500 consumes a little less power than the ISO3082? or is it the opposite?

Stani,

The ISO1500 consumes less current under no-load conditions and load conditions at the same speeds when compared to the ISO3082. You can see the difference when comparing the Typical Characteristics graphs from their datasheets.
