ISO7740: Replace ADUM1411/1410

Part Number: ISO7740

Dear Team,

Is ISO7740/7741 can directly replace ADUM1411/1410, especially the Pin7/10?

For example SI8641BB-B-IS can not replace ADI here.

Please help on confirm it can directly drop in to replace without changing the layout and schematic

Hi Kuan,

Like you have pointed out ADuM141x device has CTRL pins on Pin7 & Pin10 instead of the usual EN pin. Hence, ISO774x isn't pin compatible ADuM141x devices.

Do you know if CTRL pins are made HIGH or LOW on customer board? If these pins are pulled-up to their respective VCC then using ISO774x in place of ADuM141x will have no impact in the system. ADuM141x with CTRL pins made HIGH will operate similar to ISO774x with EN pins made HIGH.

Hence, please let us know if CTRL pins are pulled-up to HIGH or pulled-down to LOW. Thanks.

Unfortunately yes, ISO774x can't be used to replace ADuM141x in this particular application.
