Help Isolating scope from signal line

what is the data rate of signal? do you have a good ground of your scope prober?

Thank you for replying! In general pulses on the order of 100MHz. I believe I do have a good ground on my scope probe but I would like to isolate the scope ground from the signal ground if possible.

100Mhz is not that high frequency, can you show the waveform?

No I can't unfortunately. The application is for a variety of signal types so if you have any advice for any shapes I am all ears.

I am more interested in a theoretical solation to the problem in general so I can apply it in a variety of cases. If you hook up a scope to a signal and are receiving transmission line effects what kind of steps should be taken? Should I try to impedance match? Should I try to use a damping resistor or ferrite bead? Sorry for not being specific, this is intentional.

scope prober is normally high-impedence, so you can't do impedance match. for theoretical solution, you may contact Tektronic or Keysight. they should more knowledge about prober
