ISO1212: To meet IEC 61131-2 Type 2

Part Number: ISO1212

Hello Team,

May I clarify ISO1212 behavior for IEC 61131-2 Type 2?

Based on the 9.2.1.2 Detailed Design Procedure in datasheet, VIH and VIL can be obtained.

When the device input falls from 24V to VIL 9.18V, device is turned off. But in Type 2 input voltage and input current curve, with current limit to ~6mA, input voltage 11V to 5V is in transition region. Is there test report for ISO1212 meet IEC 61131-2 Type 2 specification?

Thank you.

Regards,

Ting

  • Ting,

The "transition region" achieves some hysteresis that helps prevent noise from causing accidental logical highs or lows. I've linked a similar thread that contains a discussion about this.

I don't have a test report immediately available. Please allow me some time to see if there is a report.

    Respectfully,

    Lucas
