ISO1212: Do I have to power VCC1?

Part Number: ISO1212

Excuse me, the input power comes from IN (1-Pin) and the output power comes from OUT(3-Pin).

1. Do I have to power VCC1?

2. EN needs to be connected to VCC1?

  • Hi Jun Wei Huang,

Welcome to E2E! ISO121x input power is derived from signals input to Pins 7 - 8, so no additional supply is needed on the input side.

Regarding the output side, Pin 3 outputs HIGH and LOW signals relative to the input signal levels. This is a data pin, not a power supply pin, so yes, power must be supplied between 2.25V and 5.5V to Vcc1 (pin 1) for proper operation.

EN pin activates the device's output pin when EN = HIGH or is left floating: this may be connected to Vcc1 or left disconnected for the device to continuously operate

Please let us know if you have additional questions.

    Thank you!
