SN6505B: Shutdown delay when pulling down EN pin

Part Number: SN6505B
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: , SN6505D, SN6505A, SN6505D-Q1

Hi team,

What is the shutdown delay time when EN is pull down? I can't find it in datasheet.

Best regards,

Dylan

  • Hi Dylan,

This is quoted as tPWRDN in SN6505B-Q1 datasheet and the same would be applicable for SN6505b as well, as shown below.

Please note that the actual output voltage going down to 0V depends on the external capacitors and load connected and the device SN6505B will not be directly controlling that. The EN pin pull-down to D1/D2 turn-OFF time is what in directly control of SN6505B.

Hope that answers your question, thanks.

  • Hi Koteshwar,

The tPWRDN is for SN6505D-Q1. Is it also applicable for SN6505B? Best Regards,

    Dylan

  • Hi Dylan,

Yes, datasheet lists this spec under SN6505D-Q1 because both tPWRUP and tPWRDN are referred. Since the difference between SN6505D and SN6505A/B is primarily the soft start function which only affects tPWRUP, the two devices are expected to be different in tPWRUP but will have the same tPWRDN applicable for both.

Hence, the tPWRDN spec listed for SN6505D-Q1 is also applicable for SN6505A and SN6505B. Thanks.
