ISO7761: Can ISO7761 connect this way to work with 400MHz signal?

Part Number: ISO7761

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to implement level translation with a digital isolator, ISO7761. As the connection is to FPGA which the data rate could reach 400MHz, below are the scratch of the connection: VCCI = 3.3V ,GNDI =0V  and VCCO = 2.5V , GNDO= -2.5V. Will this work?

Best regards,

kpk

  • Hi KPK,

Thanks for reaching out. Yes, ISO7761 can be used to achieve voltage level translation as well. The voltage levels that you have applied are within the datasheet specifications of VCC, please make sure the input logic levels follow these VCC levels as specified in the datasheet (VOH & VOL).
The FAQ at the link below also confirms what I have mentioned above.

Regarding the 400MHz signal, please note that the maximum datarate supported by ISO7761 is 100Mbps which is equivalent to 50MHz signal. Hence, the device doesn't support 400MHz signal isolation or level translation. Thanks.
