ISO7720-Q1: Supply current - DC signal

Part Number: ISO7720-Q1

Hi,

I have a question for Supply current - DC signal.

Why Supply current - DC signal is different between typ and max/min?

If temp or device itself cause this difference, how much % is different?

  • Hi Kasuya-san,

The ambient temperature affects the device in many ways and causes variation in component values like resistance value, capacitance value, biasing voltages and regulated voltages among others. All these changes also impact the amount of current that device consumes and hence, there is going to be a difference in current consumption for typical ambient temperature (25C) and worst-case ambient temperature (125C).

I do not think it is going to be limited to a particular % value across devices, the actual amount of variation between typical and max can be quite different from one device to another. What is listed in the datasheet as max is the worst-case current consumption that can ever happen across devices.

Please let me know if there is anything that is not clear, thanks.
