ISO1042-Q1: ISO1042-Q1 CAN communication waveform issue???

Part Number: ISO1042-Q1

Dear TI..

I'm using ISO1042-Q1.

By the way, the following waveform(Fig.#1) is checked.

Why did the last waveform level come out high?

(The micro-controller is using STM8AF5286.)

Still, I would like to know the detailed reason.
Please give me a clear answer.

The results I looked for.....

(1) In my opinion, because of the CAN-FD difference....

(2) No problem in operation even when used as it is.

  • Hi Hyoung Rae Ryu,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

This is a normal behavior for a CAN network where the CAN bus will be

driving by all nodes for the Acknowledgement(ACK) at the end of packet.

Please look at this application report question 14 for more details.

Also, this e2e post has an in depth discussion of solving the issue of having too many nodes.

    Regards,

    Alfred
