I would like to confirm the ability against negative surge of TPS7A6201-Q1.

I understood the value in not specified in the specification.

But the customer have confirmed the ability with -42V surge and TPS7A6201-Q1 has not broken down.

Does TPS7A6201-Q1 have the ability against the negative surge?

How much is the ability of the surge?  

The customer doesn't need the specification, but want to know the ability.

    Hi Atsushi-san,

     

    The absolute max negative voltage specified the datasheet for every pin is -0.3V, we do not recommend customer to apply negative voltage beyond this limit.

     

    This is strange that the device is not damaged when -42V is applied, as every pin have ESD protection circuit, if voltage lower than -0.3V is applied, the ESD circuit will damage. Anyway, just tell customer do not apply any voltage expand the spec.
