TPS7B4250-Q1 dropout voltage

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS7B4250-Q1

I would like to confirm the dropout voltage of TPS7B4250-Q1.
I have got the question of it from the customer.

The conditions are;
1. Vin = 5.8V, Io = 40mA
2. Vin = 5.8V, Io = 30mA

Could you please estimate the maximum value?

Best regards,
Atsushi Yamauchi

  • Hi Atsushi-san,

    It can be seen fromt the datasheet tha under 10mA load, 265mV is the max dropout, under 50mA, 1000mV is maximum, I would say, for 40mA, the max value is around 800mV.

    Our designer is doing simulatin on this now, should be able to provide the exact result before next week.

  • Hi Atsushi-san,

    Please see the simulation result for TPS7B4250-Q1 dropout voltage per below:

    Dropout_max_30mA=575mV;

    Dropout_max_40mA=777mV.

    Just a reminder above result is not tested during production program, so this is guaranteed by design.

    Best regards
