I found these 3 similar device as a Buck-boost suitable for our application.

Except the switching frequency of the first one there is no significant difference according to the datasheet.

My question is: What is the main difference between the devices and if there are any recommended ones for new designs.

TPS55065-Q1 has output current of 0.5A where as TPIC74100-Q1/TPIC74101-Q1 have output current ratings of 1A. Between TPIC74100-Q1/TPIC74101-Q1, I do not think of any difference other than switching frequency.

If you look at below link, there is slight price difference between TPS55065-Q1 and TPIC74100-Q1/TPIC74101-Q1.

So, you can use any of these devices depending on your load current and switching frequency requirements.
