Dear all,
This is my first post at the TI E2E forum, so I hope don't offend too many forum etiquette rules.
I'm considering using the TPIC6A595 as the column current sink for the motor-matrix in a vending machine.
The motor's current drops briefly to zero on a full rotation and this current drop should be measured.
As the TPIC6A595 has a seperate PGND, this measurement could simply be done with a voltage drop over a small resistor.
This would also cause a voltage difference between LGND and PGND.
I've searched the datasheet to find a specification of the maximum allowed voltage between LGND and PGND, this spec could aid me in selecting the appropriate shunt resistor. I'm guessing a too high voltage drop between LGND and PGND would cause trouble with the gate drive of the power FET.
Could anyone give me some guidance or a specification?
Thank you in advance and best regards,
Max
