Hi,

We are planning on using SN74LV123A-Q1 or the EP version in an avionics application.

An analysis of the COTS activities from the EASA certification memorandum (Section 9 “Guidelines for Commercial Off-The-Shelf Digital Airborne Electronic Hardware Components”) is being performed for all ICs. SN74LV123A-Q1 will be classified as a simple COTS IC, having allocated a DAL A assurance level (as per RTCA/DO-254, EUROCAE/ED-80). Therefore we need to describe all functional blocks inside the device (inner structure).

The datasheet presents a logic diagram which may not be enough for our purposes.

Can we get a more detailed block diagram for SN74LV123A-Q1?

Hi ShreyasRao,
I already checked that document, but may not enough. If we refer to my original post, SN74LV123A-Q1 has allocated a DAL A assurance level (DAL A means : Catastrophic – Failure may cause a crash. Error or loss of critical function required to safely fly and land aircraft). We need to briefly describe the inner parts of the block diagram (i.e. Logic inputs, the latch mechanism, etc.) and test cases are to be derived further based on the analysis.

Unfortunately , we cannot give out internal structure for any of our ICs due to it being proprietary .
