OPA211-HT characterisation circuits

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA211-HT

Hello,

One of my customer is looking out to make an test setup wherein they can do parameter characterisation of OPA211-HT at High temperature.

The parameter which needs to be checked at 200°C are

  • Input offset voltage
  • Input Bias current
  • CMRR
  • Open Loop Voltage Gain
  • Gain Bandwidth Product.

Do we have any guideline/reference used @ TI , for measuring these?

Regards,

Mahendra Patel

  • Mahendra, I apologize for the late reply. Testing these parameters is the same as you would do with an OPA for standard temperature of operation. The difference here is whether your entire setup would be subject to the high temperature, in which case you must account for temperature drift and variation for all the components in the setup (including your board). This obviously complicates the testing even more.

About the OPA211-HT, the datasheet lists either min/typ and typ/max for all of these parameters except the gain bandwidth product. What is the main reason driving the need to further characterize the device? I will e-mail you about this. Thanks,

    JV

  • Thanks JV for your response!

Application requires device to operate beyond 200C, that is why they need to further characterize the device.

  • Mahendra, we already took this conversation offline, but just to make sure about the temperature of operation. This device is only rated up to 210C, therefore operation beyond that temperature is not guaranteed as indicated in the datasheet.

    Thanks,
