The National Semiconductor Op Amp Part No: LM741J-14/883 is now obsolete and I am looking for a replacement component.

Does TI have a product that will replace the National Semiconductor Op Amp Part No: LM741J-14/883?

If the answer is yes could you please let me know the part number and where I can access the appropriate data sheet?

Hi Ian,

I'm sorry to see that the forum owners haven't responded to you yet. I found out on my own that we have a package for LM741J-14/883 in CDIP, but it's the 8 pin version. I have not been able to find a direct pin-to-pin replacement for the device.

Are you looking for a pin to pin replacement, or just something that will do the same job with a military rating?

Hi Ian,

There is not a pin to pin replacement for the LM741J-14/883. However, it is sold in the 8 pin TO-99 and CDIP packages.

Hi Ian,

The LM741J-14/883 went obsolete in 1998.

The LM741J/883 can be used as a pin for pin replacement (in a way):

The LM741 has 7 active leads.

The LM741J/883 is an 8 lead dip, with one "no connect" pin.

The LM741J-14/883 was a 14 lead DIP, with 7 "no connect" pins.

The active pins on the J and J-14 are in the same configuration. So, the 8 lead J package can be slotted into the J-14 spot. There will just be 6 openings that do not have any pins in them.

Reference Diode LM113 is now obsolete.

The LM113 was used as the equipment is Military/Aerospace

Is there a replacement component available?

The LM185-1.2 is a drop in replacement for the LM113.

There are some minor differences in the performance of the products and the datasheets should be reviewed.

The LM185 is a more accurate part but the current range is slightly less.
